Kristin Fisher has joined CNN on the 20th of July, 2021, as Space and Defense Correspondent. In her new position, Fisher will cover everything from NASA's newly-created Space Force to commercial space business and the emergence of space tourism. Kristin is the daughter of NASA astronauts and an enthusiastic space lover has spent her entire childhood in the industry. She spent five years in the position of White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy in the Trump and Biden Administrations. During that time, she also covered presidential impeachment proceedings as well as the presidential campaign for 2020 and the efforts of two administrations in order to stop the spread of the Coronavirus. Kristin was on the road extensively, including both the vice president and president. She was even on a top-secret trip to Afghanistan together with Donald Trump. Kristin has worked in the local news markets of Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Washington, D.C. for more than a decade prior to being hired by the CBS network. She was awarded one Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. for her work as a CBS affiliate's one-man band reporter. Kristin founded Field Mouse Films with her skills behind the camera back in 2014. The company specialized in creating documentaries for corporate clients, which included Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin has earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism at Boston University. Kristin is married with a daughter, and their 3-year-old daughter in Washington, D.C.
